PROBLEM WITH GETTING CALORIES
“Dear Frederic,
“I have read your book "Raw Secrets" and found it to be very informative and helpful. Thank you for your hard work and effort to bring all this valuable health information to the general public.
“That said, I have an important question for you. First, though, you need to know that I am trying to transition to a raw food lifestyle. I am 6' tall and weigh 125lbs. The problem I am experiencing is that I eat lots of low calorie, low density fruit that fills my small stomach easily and quickly. I want to keep eating to satisfy my hunger but I can't because my stomach is full. I tried the 7 banana + water smoothie and got sick because I overate, which is very easy thing for me to do! Over eating is one of the biggest problems I have right now. Do you have an answer for this? Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated! Thank You.”
ANSWER: I suggest to have 5-6 smaller meals instead. Don't force yourself to eat more than you can. Instead, eat more often. With time, you'll find that you'll be able to make your meals larger and accommodate a more optimal volume of food that can provide enough calories to meet your needs. What you can do now is just evaluate how many calories you need approximately, and spread that over 5-6 meals rather having big meals that don't digest.
